Mini Mindfulness

Mini Mindfulness with Effort & Ease

Join Ms Purcell for an hour of health and relaxation as you practise the skill of mindfulness through yoga.

 

Explore breath control, simple meditation, and become more aware of your thoughts and feelings. Bring your own Yoga mat.

Available to Queen Margaret Students only

WHEN: Thursday 3.30-4.30pm

DURATION: Week 2 to Week 9

AGE: Years 3-6

COST: $120 per term

5-8 Years Of Age

This programme introduces younger children to the wonderful world of yoga. In these 35 minute sessions the children are guided through a multi-sensory journey where they get to experiment and experience how they can become champions of their own wellbeing.

 

This programme:

  •  Aims to nurture a peaceful mind, healthy body and creative spirit

  • Opens with sharing circles to allow for self-expression and teach

         children to discuss feelings and mindset

  • Develops the children’s ability to use breathing techniques for

         self-regulation and emotional intelligence

  • Teaches yoga poses through a creative and relevant story or theme

  • Provides rest and relaxation at the end which teaches their body and

         brain to slow down and relax

  • Equip the children with life cooperation, connection, patience and

         compassion through mindful activities

yoga for children with Effort & Ease

8-11 Years Of Age

8- 11 years of age yoga with Effort & Ease

This programme features less story and more yoga poses. In these 45 minute sessions children will start or continue their journey of becoming champions of their wellbeing.

 

This programme:

  •  Aims to nurture a peaceful mind, healthy body and creative spirit

  •  Open with sharing circles to allow for self-expression and teach children to discuss feelings and mindset

  • Develops the children’s ability to use breathing techniques for self-regulation and emotional intelligence

  • Equips with life cooperation, connection, patience and compassion through mindful activities

  •  Teaches age appropriate individual, partner and acro-yoga poses in safe and inclusive environment

  •  Provides rest and relaxation at the end which teaches their body and brain to slow down and relax

Yoga For Teens

This programme has a strong focus on positive self-awareness,

stress-management and self-care through yoga and mindfulness.

 

Sessions are 50 minutes long and  students will be taught various breathing techniques and sun salutations and a selection of yoga poses and partner poses. There will be open and inclusive conversations that equip your teen with a toolkit to navigate stressful times through mindful activities.

 

Students will gain a greater knowledge of anatomy, healthy alignment and self-acceptance.

KIDS YOGA

Coming To A School Near You

After school Kids yoga and mindfulness programme

Calling all 8-11 years olds! Join Greta for 45 minutes of health and relaxation as you practise the skill of mindfulness through yoga. Explore breath control, simple meditation, partner and acro-yoga and become more aware of your thoughts and feelings. 

 

DURATION: 8 weeks 

AGE: Years 8-11

COST: $110 per term / Additional siblings $80  per term  (Please note - fees to be paid before or at the beginning of course)

EQUIPMENT:  Bring your own Yoga mat.
