Yoga and Mindfulness for Children

Why Yoga and Mindfulness
Is Important for children

Yoga means ‘union’ and may be understood as the bringing together of body, mind and breath, or spirit.

Yoga connects breath to movement and helps people be more active, flexible and enjoy an increase in an overall sense of wellbeing. Mindfulness is the practice of focusing your attention on the present moment and can help children manage their emotions and tackle challenges.

There is a wide body of research that supports the far reaching benefits for both adults and children taking part in a regular yoga and mindfulness practice. The tangible benefits go far beyond the yoga mat, they give life skills for children to thrive on any situation.
