Yoga and Mindfulness Fundamental Skills
For Schools Programme
Good mental health
is an important
part of healthy
child development.
Our Effort & Eases Yoga and Mindfulness Fundamental Skills for Schools Programme aims to introduce yoga and mindfulness techniques in a safe and secure environment. Through following this programme students will build on their social, emotional, behavioural and communication skills whilst at the same time building a better mental health and wellbeing foundation for the future.
This programme is in-line with Health and Physical Education and Social Sciences learning areas of the New Zealand Curriculum and unpacks hauora from a Maori perspective basing it on the model of Te Whare Tapa Whā.
It provides an opportunity to explore the key competencies by using a practical and skills based approach. The programme can be tailored to meet school needs, values, interests and inquiries.
